Family owned estate winery with about 50 hectares of vineyards and olive trees located in Arezzo, in the heart of Tuscany. The vineyard of approximately 35 hectares of land known as Poggio Primo, is situated in a convenient location on clay soil and has a microclimate which creates ideal conditions for a full-bodied natural wine, intense, rich in extract and glycerin. Grapes grown on the estate are Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Malvasia del Chianti, St. Columban, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The wines of Podere 29 are made from the indigenous grape “Uva di Troia”. The name Uva di Troia has mysterious origins. One theory is that comes from the Ancient City of Troy described by Homer, leading to the thought that it came from Greece carried to Puglia by sailors more than 2000 years ago. A family owned winery making traditional wines from the region of Apulia.
